Double Dose of Extra Easy Oh dear, that sounds like something nasty! Saturday today, so a bit more time for cooking and blogging. So, a brunch type meal on the cards. Warm Breakfast Salad Basically, bacon, onions, tomatoes on lettuce with a fried egg. Sounds weird but good. Not sure if a hard boiled egg would be better — however, the runny fried egg means not tempted to add dressing. Technical Support tucked in. Strictly Come Dancing – Tess and Craig’s Christmas Night In After 13 years working together on Strictly Come Dancing, close friends Tess and Craig come together for one very special evening, in celebration of the show they love – a Christmas Night s:
And some people are trying to tell us that there’s some kind of dancing competition in Strictly Come Dancing too. Well we’ll be blown. Who the bum is going to win Strictly Come Dancing, that’s what we want to know. Here are the Strictly Come Dancing betting odds for Matt Dawson, Louisa Lytton and Mark Ramprakash… Matt Dawson — A couple of weeks ago Matt Dawson danced in exactly the same way that most men would dance if they knew that everyone they’d ever met was watching on TV; shame-faced and self-conscious.
However, the hiring of a drama coach has helped Matt Dawson immensely — now Matt has unleashed his inner Travolta without fear of all the piss-taking he’s still going to get for dressing up in a sparkly blouse and twatting around for 90 second periods anyway. And the Strictly Come Dancing judges loved him: Her effort from a couple of weeks ago — trying to stuff so many complicated dance-steps into her routine that she seemed to be dancing entirely in fast-forward — backfired, and so on Saturday’s Strictly Come Dancing Louisa tried something even more audacious; doing a tango to a song by The Eurythmics, the brave girl.
And this tactic has made sure that Louisa Lytton is even more likely to end up second in Strictly Come Dancing than ever before.

History[ edit ] The practices of courtship in Western societies have changed dramatically in recent history. As late as the s, it was considered unorthodox for a young couple to meet without familial supervision in a tightly controlled structure. Compared with the possibilities offered by modern communications technology and the relative freedom of young adults, today’s dating scene is vastly different.
Before the s, the primary reason for courting someone was to begin the path to marriage. It functioned as a way for each party’s family to gauge the social status of the other. This was done in order to ensure a financially and socially compatible marriage. This form of courtship consisted of highly rigid rituals, including parlor visits and limited excursions.
These meetings were all strictly surveyed, typically by the woman’s family, in order to protect the reputations of all involved and limit such possibilities as pregnancy. This manner of courtship system was mostly used by the upper and middle classes from the eighteenth century through the Victorian period. The lower classes typically did not follow this system, focusing more on public meetings.
However, the goal of the process was still focused on ending in a marriage.
